This series is done through layering and processing many samples of drum sounds i synthesised using various plugins namely xoxo's vst's and zynaddsubfx mixed with some old hardware samples i made a long time ago. There are 4 packs of the same series : perc snare kick and hats all using the same process.

Two sustained voice samples i subsequently pitch shifted and layered for an ambient work (to achieve an 80's choir pad effect). The key is almost in middle c, but slightly off. . . Because i can't sing. The second, lower voice sample was recorded extremely close to the mic to achieve clipping; i wanted to get a buzzy, boomy sound out of it.

Created in bitwig out of sampling and layering my own library sounds to make a new gun sound, perhaps a suitable as a sniper rifle.

A 70bpm beat/loop sequenced using renoise 3. 0. Samples were either created from scratch or modified after being recorded in my basement using the sampler built into renoise. The microphone used for recorded samples (of a keychain) is the one that comes along with the m-audio microtrack 24/96. Sounds good in reverse too.

A melody i came up with in midi shifting notes around. The sound is from an acoustic guitar note sample of mine with effects, ran through structure free in pro tools.

Bell-like sound created in pro tools by treating a hi-hat sample with the grm reson plug-in. I think of it as a blend of a gong, bell and triangle.

This is a sample of the work progress in our course of sound creation laboratory from pompeu fabra university. The story begins at a friends meeting, continue at the disco, and then it finishing going home.

I created this sound by mixing 7 different impact/stomp samples, feel free to use it anyway you want.

Acid bass: 110 bpm c2 note, not your typical saw/square basslines. High sweeping filters in parallel sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Random presets, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down. Low, metalic drone in f# made by time-stretching some voice sample ran through vocoder (using paul's extreme sound stretch). It has some digeridoo timbre, but just a little bit :) enjoy.

This piece is a sound-sculpture of a weather effect commonly called the beast from the east in the uk. It is based on a longer piece by me called frozen kaos. This was constructed by me using only copywrite free sources of sounds, musical(ish) pieces and natural sounds. All of these were assembled and processed using the free software package audacity™. Most samples have been filtered, pitched, and manipulated vastly to make the basic foundation. On that base all the rest of the sounds were layer (over 200 different layers -- manipulated, mixed down, rebuilt, remixed, manipulated). I mostly work be happenstance and never take notes -- often what comes about is as much by chance as by design.

I made a saw wave and put some flanger and paulstretch effects to it on audacity and made this synth-like saw wave inspired by the saw wave sample from the ps1 startup sound. If you want to put a loop to this sound, it's 67109 to 84907 on openmpt. Do whatever you want with this (like sounds or music) and credit me if you want as pk superstar256 (in a fan project) or ismo-kun games (in a commercial project). Yes, you can use this in things that can make you money, just don't make money off of this sound of its entirety in unedited form.
